Who is drummer for avenged sevenfold

Although they had trouble getting gigs at first and being accepted in the insular Orange County Scene, Avenged Sevenfold wasted no time writing and recording original songs. They released their debut EP Warmness on the Soul in , then followed a year later with their full-length debut Sounding The Seventh Trumpet , which was a pivotal album for the emerging California metalcore scene. But I knew they were going to be big because they had a smoke machine with them on the tour. Sullivan, 28, died at his home in Huntington Beach, California.

He was buried in a private ceremony on January 6th. The drummer was one of the standouts from the Orange County metal scene, combining precision, aggression and flair with syncopated groove. That record, Nightmare , is scheduled for release on July 27th. He was one of those drummers where you could put on a record and you could tell it was Jimmy drumming the second you heard it.

One of the greats. One of those souls that comes along so rarely and just touches every single person around him.

By the age of 13 , this is how good he was…. Shadows modestly recalled how he and guitarist Zacky Vengeance were recruiting members for Avenged Sevenfold back in the day, eyeing up superstar-in-the-making and fellow schoolkid Jimmy but thinking that he was probably too good for them already.

He was playing Pantera and Slayer note for note. Avenged would probably sound like a much different band were it not for M. Bonus info: the final kit that Jimmy created also had 11 cymbals and seven toms… which seems reasonable, right? Getting your surname printed on the back of a sports jersey? Pretty standard. But I love where they're at now, and I'm happy for the level of success that they've had. In a December interview with the San Francisco, California radio station We had never, ever experienced any kind of in-the-spotlight drama; we just always stay in the shadows and keep any of our personal business private.

And [ Mike is] a very different character — he always goes straight to fans [on] Twitter or whatever… That's how he dealt with his band, and it was new to us. We like to be in touch with our fans, but we're also very private. I think he got caught up in the moment, got excited. We begged him to consider what he did, because we were in no position to find a permanent replacement, because in all honesty, you can't replace Jimmy , who was our best friend — first and foremost — besides beng an amazing drummer.
