Ferrari ki sawaari how many stars

Connections Referenced in Bhoothnath Returns User reviews 31 Review. Top review. This movie is a must watch for all. There's a lot to learn from it. I had not much expectations from this movie but it throbbed by heart.

Since it's Vidhu Vinod Chopra's script i gave it a try. Sharman Joshi Rusy played it good. Few scenes may bring tears, this movie is about how a struggling dad tries to full fill his son's dream. Paresh Raval has played a villain's role in this movie.

In-spite of the movie having no romance triangle like any other Hindi movies but it delivery is outstanding. I assure you that it wont be disappointing-Ferrari Ki Sawaari I reckon families to watch this movie. Details Edit. Release date June 15, India. Official Site Official site Japan. Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Box office Edit. Technical specs Edit. When Kayo is invited to attend a prestigious cricket camp at Lords Cricket Ground in London the home of cricket Rusy gets involved in a complex scheme to raise the large amount of money needed for the trip.

Naturally this leads to nothing but trouble as various people attempt to track down Rusy and the Ferrari. Joshi is delightfully genial as the too-honest-to-be-true Rusy, while young Ritwik Sahore brims with sweet kiddie charm, though in truth Boman Irani pretty much steals the film as the grumpy grandfather, whose nicely introduced back-story details his thwarted cricket career and sees him gradually take on a larger part in proceedings as the film develops.

Until his role really comes into focus the film is a little one-tone, but he gives it an added drive towards the expected climax. The end is a little dragged out as every bit of emotion is wrenched out from the story, but Ferrari Ki Sawaar i certainly delivers when it comes to old-fashioned Indian family entertainment.

Five filmmakers have been selected for the inaugural lab from Cambodia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. Boman and Ritvik do not lag behind him in entering the skins of their respective characters.

The supporting cast has also done exceedingly well. Seema Paahwa as the kind-hearted wedding planner, takes the cake. Dreaming does not come under anybody's monopoly or patent or copyright. It's not the fiefdom of the rich, the resourceful and the mighty. Corruption and dishonesty have got a strong justification in India that they are unavoidable to earn enough money to give a better life to the next generation.

But Ferrari Ki Sawaari tells that there is no need to be dishonest to dream big for your offspring if you are already not rich and resourceful.

The honest and the modest are also entitled to dream big for themselves as well as their children. DareDevilKid 17 June The last time I had laughed, cried, felt emotional, felt chocked, and enjoyed and even sneered at a slice of life all simultaneously was when the same team had served us the scrumptious '3 Idiots'. A classic feel-good satire in the same vein as 'Mr. Deeds Goes To Town', 'Mr. All the performances from the lead, to the supporting, and even down to the bit players are rendered with passion and near surgical perfection.

Also, expect this film to pick up quite a few nominations come awards season. Rush to your nearest cinema-hall immediately and feast your senses with a near perfect execution of a feel-good satire.

Most of all, watch it for one factor which it dishes out in copious amounts, and one which our society is badly in need of - "HOPE" To fulfill his son's dream of playing at Lord's cricket ground, the honest and upright Rusy performs the first small act of dishonesty in his life.

He borrows a gleaming red Ferrari. Just for one hour. The only trouble - he doesn't inform its owner! A wild, breathless, bumpy ride begins! Ferrari Ki Sawaari is a heartwarming story of small guys and their big dreams.

Ride was just like an economical class car ride not the luxurious one. It is an average movie. Positive mouth publicity seems difficult. First few scenes are really impressive. They tried to make realistic cinema but it is not very easy.

After few scenes, they kneeled down to the word cinematic liberty. They misused it very well. Even the main plot of Ferrari was very fictitious, some time at the level of being illogical. If the movie belongs to then how can one relate that an honest head clerk of R. O can't manage to collect one lac and fifty thousand rupees. Dialogues by Mr.

Rajkumar Hirani are enjoyable. Performance of Mr. Boman Irani is par excellence. Sharman Joshi is quite good even the boy Ritwik Sahore is very good. Music is not massy or classy.

They tried to put some commercial aspect by keeping an item no but not the music, choreography or performances are enjoyable. They used graphics also to lure the kids but nowadays kids are very smart.

Just after watching the few frames they can easily tell that is it Spiderman part It will not work in single screen but in multiplexes will work till some extent but one shouldn't give credit to the film for this, it is the big banner and their reputation. And what more, the ace director of these films, Rajkumar Hirani wrote the dialog for 'Ferrari ki Sawaari'.

Obviously, the expectations were sky high but the film has been built on a rather weak script. The story revolves around a little boy Kayo Deboo Ritwik Sahore who is a budding cricketer nursing a dream to play for India. Rusy's father Behram Boman Irani a former cricketer himself is dismissive about his kin making a career in cricket. When Rusy's efforts to raise the money through a PF or bank loans fail, the only ray of hope is a wedding planner Seeema Pahwa who offers 1.

But the only person in the city who owns such a car is Sachin Tendulkar and Rusy must steal it from him. Sharman Joshi perfectly fits the bill of playing a simple and hapless guy weighed down by fate.

But he lacks the charisma to carry an entire movie on his shoulders. Boman Irani is top notch as usual. Little Ritwik Sahore complements the star cast. On yes, Vidya Balan makes her presence felt in an unnecessary item number. The film raises a number of issues such as the impracticality of someone with modest means dreaming of a career in sports, the difficulty in making ends meet and being able to provide for one's dreams all on a meager salary and the thought of truly talented folk being trampled due to politics and those with deep pockets.

The overdose of drama that is focused on the child is likely to interest preteen audiences who would gladly drag their parents to watch the film. And then there are those who will give it a chance because Rajkumar Hirani's name is associated with it.

But otherwise, there are so many plot holes that leave you dissatisfied. First, there was no specific reason for the lead characters being Parsi except about showing them to be living in a Parsi colony and one joke where a goon says he called out for 'Rustom' and twenty of them turned up. Also, was the setting really ? Barring the existence of mobile phones, the film seemed like a throwback to s. And over the top characters like the corporator's son are simply irritating.

The portrayal of his poverty is rather unrealistic. Granted that he is a widower and sole breadwinner caring for his old father and providing for his young boy all on meager government salary; but in an age where small time street vendors carry mobile phones, our hero doesn't seemed to have bought one. And why does he stash money in odd places instead of leaving it in his salary account?

What was the director thinking? The honesty angle has also been overdone and inconsistent. Imagine anyone accidentally jumping an unsupervised traffic light and searching desperately for a cop to voluntarily pay fine! And within minutes, our epitome of honesty goes on and steals a fancy car and jolly well drives it around the city with his son. What ever happened to all that gyaan about setting an example to his son in the traffic signal incident?

What more? Our hero leaves the stolen car on the street, nearly at Sachin's doorstep in broad daylight; Boman Irani's character brings the car to the cricket association headquarters where nobody seems to care where the car came from or why were they driving around like crazy amidst the fountains in the garden.

To top it all, nobody gets pulled up by the law. All this in the name of cinematic liberty, wow! To sum up, 'Ferrari Ki Sawaari' is a film with its heart in the right place. Just that it goes overboard with some unrealistic drama. Given that the movie is centered on a kid and we are a cricket crazy nation, it may have takers despite it being average fare!

This is a modern day fairy story with a heart of gold. Slightly manipulative emotionally but forgivably so. Sharman, a Parsi, chronic do-gooder, an honest RTO officer, probably below the new Parsi poverty line of Rs 90, pm, wants to send his son, Ritvik, to a cricket coaching camp at Lords, London. He's a cinch to get selected but the only hitch is the Rs 1. Many loan rejections later, the only way out seems to be via a wedding planner, Seema.

Who's willing to give him the amount as a gift if he can arrange a Ferrari for a few hours. So that a corrupt corporator's useless son can get married in it. The problem is, there is only one Ferrari in Mumbai. Belonging to Sachin Tendulkar. Another problem is posed by Sharman's dad, Boman Irani, who hates cricket, thinks most cricketers are salesmen.

And is dead against sending his grandson for the camp. The story line is simple and thankfully remains so through the film, with possibly my only issue being with the suicide angle and the breakdown towards the end. Else, it remains light, chirpy and cheerful all the way through. The film is lit up by some very well written characters and excellent performances. The waiter at the Mumbai Cricket Association who wants an autograph because in an inconsequential match 38 years ago, the cricketer had taken 8 wickets on a dead pitch.
